Remember Simplicity is just not me, organization forget about it – each day you will find something new; it could be a new link a different color – or something you would never notice.

It is our purpose here to show how we make our Lampwork Jewelry so that the general buying public would

hopefully expand and more importantly,  appreciate the creative work it takes to be a Lampwork Artist. I do

use the term Artist. The lampworker for some reason has been generally left out of that prestigious circle of

those called artists, and I for one disagree with this. This has effected our pricing points when compared to

other more Traditional artists.  I have no Axe to grind with those in other art forms, they deserve everything they

get for their creativity, and so do Lampworkers.  But I do think part of their success has been their marketing

efforts. I hope with this site we can market our genre promoting The Lampwork Glass Artist.

Now for various reasons some people have a strange reaction when speaking about Art and Money. I have

never understood this because to me the True Artist has always made their passion also their livelihood. I

could rattle off a page full of artists from all different forms and all of them lived off their art. They marketed their

art or they contracted up with someone who did. So please, bear that in mind before you send me a flaming

email. Again, I want to promote Lampworking to the general public in a positive way so that we all can benefit.

We think that the Art of Lampworking is still unknown, unappreciated and certainly undervalued as a Art Form.

We feel that it takes a tremendous amount of skill to create a lampwork piece. When you think of the mediums

we work with , Fire and Glass, they are fairly daunting in and of themselves. Yet, to combine  these elements

into a  beautiful finished piece with Fire at temperatures pushing 2000 degrees and molten Glass that must be

manipulated in real time right over your lap takes courage, passion and a great deal of Artistic creative flair.

We also want to let those who are customers see what it takes to complete a custom Jewelry design. We

believe this not only promotes Lampworking  as a true art form, but adds a residual value to the customers

ultimate experience in wearing a one of a kind customized piece of lampwork Jewelry.

I am certainly open to suggestions. Please feel free to email us with any techniques you would like to see and

if we can do them or perhaps if we can’t, others maybe able to. We will try to put a video up for all to benefit.
